Entries in False eyelashes (3)

Some eyelashes and a brush.

Do we all agree that practice makes perfect? Well I certainly do. This haul was all for the sake of practicing how to put on false lashes. I'll put my hands up and say that it hasn't been easy however it is getting better. Curly lashes are the arch enemy of false lashes. Getting them to work is a miracle in itself...

Superdrug (where else! lol!) was still having it's 3 for 2 the other week when I picked these babies up. This past weekend I wore the no 070, the most natural looking pair of the lot and I think I'm in love. I so didn't take a good picture to show you guys cause Zuccherro and I were too busy having a good time eating tasty Ghanian and Sierra Leonenian food at a dear friend's wedding! But I'll show you one anyway where you can catch a glimpse of the length of these beautiful lashes!

I was hitting on Mr Jones but he was having none of it!

Please excuse the slightly faded make-up it was now 6pm with a face I'd applied at 9am :) And yes, your eyes do not deceive you. I am wearing that Sleek Graphite palette again. The purple keeps calling my name! I need to explore the rest of the palette but purple is my crack for sure! Apologies....ish!

The brush. I've been eyeing this brush for a minute. The Revlon brush line appeared in stores a few months back and I kept telling myself that I would pick it up and see how it works. Well look out for the review soon because this could quickly become a staple for us all...

It's a sturdy brush. No doubt about it. But it has also shed on me. So we shall see. You can get it in Boots or Superdrug and costs about £7.00. Could we have found another dupe for the MAC 217? Anyway, you shall soon know!

Happy Monday!

Could this be MAC Copper Sparkle?!

A couple of months back a friend of mine gave me a sample of a pigment she had from Mac. She told me what the name was at the time, however I couldn't for the life of me, remember what it was when I used it the other day.

So! Off to Google I went and typed in "Mac Copper pigment". The pictures that came up all seemed to point to MAC Copper Sparkle pigment. Does anyone own this or use this? The texture is very different. Quite chunky but works extremely well with a mixing medium. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Onto the FOTD! you will notice ladies and gents, that I am wearing falsies again *do a happy dance!* I have to admit, it is getting easier each time, but for once, I am happy to leave the dramatic lashes alone. On myself , I prefer the subtle ones for now. [How long do you think this is going to last for?! Lol!]

I was having fun with this look. I threw on some rhinestones because I've never tried them on myself and I wanted to see what it would look like. It is very much a glamorised Xhosa inspired look. Incase you're wondering, Xhosa women, who originate from Southern Africa, wear facial make-up to denote things like their marital status and such. I think its totally beautiful. Perhaps I'll do a proper Xhosa look one of these days for you guys.

Can you see my bling bling *sparkle sparkle* oh yeah!!!!

And right there you can see those falsies. I admit I do still find it a challenge to place them closer to the lash line but I will conquer these! Just you watch this space!

Falsies with Sleek Graphite Palette: Round 2

So I tried some falsies again today and I have to admit that they looked a whole lot better than the first lot but I am still not convinced I can carry them off...

Check it out:-

Can you tell I'm wearing falsies?

What about here? Can you see them? Far less dramatic that the first ones I tried. *Warning...unamused face up ahead!*

Now here is where I got a problem. These pictures are clickable by the way. The lash on the left eye is visibly WAY above the lash line. To me it looks very obvious. And I cannot at this point in time get my lashes to sit where I want them to because of how curly my lashes are. They almost touch my eyelid and getting anything between them is more than a mission an a half!

The picture above is a lot more obvious. I did go to town like this though. Met 2 friends and they didn't say anything....don't know if that's a good or bad thing....Oh well!!! They look pretty when you close your eyes. Very flirty. I think I may have to try some more. *sigh*

Oh yeah. The eyeshadows are the new Sleek Graphite palette. I like it. They probably could have made it into 5 shades rather than 10 cause a few are just waaaayyyyy to close what who can complain for a 5iver? The purple on the bottom row, right is what I used as well as the creamy highlight that looks white on my skin. Good good buy. Very creamy. Shall wear more tomorrow me thinks.

Night night lovlies!
