Make-up Forever 5 Lipsticks Palette Review

Make-up Forever is a worldwide brand that is renowned for its excellent products and amazing range. Personally for me, I have not come across anything from MUFE that I have not liked. I'm sure that says a lot. Today's review is on the Make-up Forever 5 Lipsticks Palette.

I've had this palette for a long time. I bought it off eBay brand new and it was a total bargain. I suspect the seller didn't realise it's worth at the time. It's since become a God-send in my kit.

This is the No 19 palette (Pink Orchid Harmony) consists of 5 beautiful colours. This is the old style palette though as MUFE has since revamped these awesome palettes to a simple open and shut case with a brush included. My palette looks like this...

Nifty side slider which reveals a decent sized mirror and brush (Which I've long since chucked!)

The 5 colours that come in this palette are No 83, 86 88 22 and 92 and each lipstick contains 2g of product. (1g less than a Mac lipstick if you'd like a comparison. So it's still a fair amount of product)

And of course because we need to see some swatches, here you go...

I have found this palette to be pretty versatile. The formula is very smooth and they are nicely pigmented. Some colours are more pigmented than others but that is to be expected and you can make them all work. The first colour above, for example, number 83 actually has a duo chrome base to it. On a paler bride with a slick of lipgloss it would look stunning. Or you could use it to add a duo blend to darker colour and create something rather special.

These lipsticks mix well and you can create your own personalized combos if you wish. Their lasting power is pretty darn good and they truly are some of the best lipsticks I've used.

If you're a make-up artist wanting a a good range of lipsticks to choose from, Make up Forever currently does 13 different palettes so you have over 65 colours to choose from! These palettes are also very light and easy to carry in your kit when you go from job to job.

As an individual, can you ever have enough lipsticks? I mean really?! Well you get my jist. One palette could do you right for a very long time ladies so I say check them out if you can!

Now I do realise that these are not readily available at Sephora.com or even on the British High street. I do suspect that the two companies in the UK that stock MUFE, PAMS and Guru Emporium would be able to get these in for you if you request them. USA girls, the MUFE boutique should certainly be able to help you out.

This palette will cost you about 33 Euros which is approx US$45 or £30. Not bad for 5 lipsticks :) Hope that helps!

Stay blessed bellas xxx

Like a moth to a flame...

Tonight I wanted to practice doing a neutral eye on myself. Why? Because I just never wear them and when I do I end up wearing a neutral eye I end up doing something that changes the "neutrality" of it all. I was doing really well until it got to the part where I put some lipstick on. Here's what I had to choose from:-

I've got an decent personal lipstick collection with a good variety of colour. I could have chosen any colour. Any! But I chose this one:-

Now y'all have seen this colour before. It's that stupid Sleek Amethyst lipstick! For all the jones in my bones! Can someone explain to me why I chose it again? What is it with this lipstick? Why couldn't I just reach for something neutral considering the fact that I was actually practicing a neutral look?

I've known for a long time that it's my favorite lipstick. I've not posted FOTD's before on my blog because I've been wearing it and you guys might think I'm boring! [yes I care what you think about my lipstick!] But I love it!!!! But I wanna challenge myself. Any look that I do from now on, if lipstick is required, there shall be no Amethyst in sight. And you all know what that means...I'll just find another favorite to wear! lol!!!

Happy weekend lovelies!
Abundant Blessings to you all!

£4 is all you need to fix your addiction.

Are you guys tired of my hauls yet? Well I'm tryna keep it cheap. Feeds my shopping habit and helps me remain focused for the important things I need in my kit. So today cost £4. Nothing to break the bank, keeps the hubby happy and I get to play:)

My friend happened to mention that Stargazer in New Look was having a sale on its make-up [they might be getting rid of the stands...recession = death of concessions] and each of these goodies was marked down to 50p EACH. I don't currrrr what you say I wasn't gonna leave with a little somethin' somethin'!

I picked up 4 lipglosses, 2 eyedusts, 1 eyeshadow and 1 lipstick. The 3rd eyedust is a Sleek on I got from ebay yesterday so I've thrown in there too.

I've tried out the lipglosses and boy are they pigmented! They pack a lotta punch! For 50p who can complain? I think I should go back for more if they have any left!

The 2 eyedusts are in no 18 and 20 and the eyeshadow is in Khakhi. Very pretty colour indeed.

The blue lipstick....it was 50p...looks kinda cool....why not? Might be daring enough to wear it out one day!

Swatches for you. Left to right, Top to Bottom:-

No 105 liptick, Kiwi Lipgloss, Plum Lipgloss, Fushia Lipgloss and Lilac Lipgloss
Sleek eyedust in breathless, Stargazer eyedust in no 20 and 18, Khakhi eyeshadow

Pretty huh? Well I definitely thought so. So in my laziness today I attempted a neutral look. Note I said "attempted". [I personally think I dismally failed but you guys be the judge.]

I'm wearing the Stargazer Plum lipgloss on my lips. I think its VERY nice! Sexified! Ehhh on my eyes is the Sleek Storm palette. If I had reached for anything else I so would have ended up like my usual bright self. And yes I wear not a single smidge of blush! Wanted to see if I could pull it off and voila! Here I am posting out for the world to see!

This is the picture with the Fushia lipgloss. This is whole different level of fierce for 50 little pence! [can't even buy an ice cream for that!] Best believe this colour is hot. Summer, winter, autum, funeral, wedding, spring clean, lawn mowing, shopping, sleeping, everything!

Hope you guys are having a good sunday. Let me go cook for husband. I can hear the boy's stomach rumbling from a mile a way!

Stay blessed lovelies!

In pursuit of a Lavender Lipstick.

Hi ladies,

I've been on a lavender search of late. I tried the Barry M palest lavender but it just wasn't working for me. I wanted a dupe for Lavender Whip and I've picked up a lipstick from ebay by Christian Breton in a beautiful purple/lilac colour called Speak Easy. Anyone heard of this brand Christian Breton?

It is so swexy and bright! I have never had so many comments about a lipstick in my life and it honestly lasts FOREVER and a day. I reapplied once during the day and even then the colour was VERY evident on me. The pigmentation in this is off the chain. I wore it with Mac's Magenta Lipliner. Check it out!!! Anyone care to tell me if they think it looks Lavenderish enough or ifI should try again?

*I wasn't wearing any foundation in this pic. Just my eyebrows filled and this banging lipstick*

Has anyone ever tried an orange lipstick on a woman of colour? I'm secretly fiending for one. Is it possible? I'm sure it is, it's just the right colour orange. I don't know why I want orange I just think it would look cool somehow. Help a sister out...

And guess what? I did my own eyebrows! I got fed up of not having anyone out here I trust enough to touch my face and so I went ahead and shaped them myself. What thinkest you? The pics above are clickable if you wanna take a look. They aren't perfect but I think for first time round pluckage I think I did alright! Drop me some tips on how I could do better.

Right I am at my wits end with my pc right not. I recorded a tutorial but for some reason I can't save the videos to upload them to Youtube. Zucherro and I spent most of saturday night week trying to load the program on his pc to see if it would work only to find that there was no sound. Can any one help?? I'm gonna try again tomorrow and if it fails I'm throwing this pc out the window. [Ok not literally but pretty close] I really wanna show you guys what I did and it would be a shame to let it go to waste! So if you can help a sister, please let me know!

Stay Blessed!
